Year 4 of the 10-year program has begun! The disciples are in full-gear as they approach their next milestones in training.

They have been working hard on the next Kung Fu Body Conditioning DVD, more advanced conditioning, rooting exercises, and training techniques.

Don't forget that at the end of next year, we will be looking for a few more dedicated and hard-working students to join the group for the last 5 years of the program. Contact us for more information.

The 3rd Annual Tiger Claw Kung Fu Magazine Championship was hosted at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA along with the Shark City Nationals. This competition featured competitors from around the country who came to test their skills in External Martial Arts, Taijiquan, Wushu, and Pushing Hands. This is about a five hour drive south of the YMAA Retreat Center.

Retreat Center students Jonathan Chang, Santiago Costello, Patrick Manriquez, and Javier Rodriguez all participated in the competition activities. Dr. Yang joined his students in the trip down this year. This marks Patrick's first time competing in the Tiger Claw tournament, and the second time for Jonathan, Santi, and Javier.

Hello Friends,

The organic garden has been plowed, the weeds have been cleared, and many of the seeds have been planted. We expect to have another good harvest this year, just in time for summer seminars. We also expect to have plenty of eggs each day from our free range chickens at that time. In addition, we have had our underground well water tested again and we are happy to say that the results are more than satisfactory with an alkaline level of 8.7. It is the best water you can find to go along with the smooth, strong, and harmonized energy provided by the local volcano.

As of now, the disciples have almost completed their third year of the program. They are still a little behind schedule but have caught up significantly since last year. I believe that a harmonious and positive energy of learning, self-discipline, and training has finally been established.
