Retreat Center Goals

There are many goals for the Retreat Center

  • Dr. Yang is aiming to transmit his entire knowledge of Chinese arts to the students of the 10-year training program.
  • Students from YMAA schools worldwide will have access to the Retreat Center as a first rate resource for dedicated training.
  • The expanded curriculum is to include Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Qigong, weapons, horseback riding, massage, meditation, publishing, Chinese language, cooking, culture, and philosophy.
  • Dr. Yang intends to raise the standard of Chinese martial arts training worldwide to that of ancient times.
  • The program is estimated to cost $500,000 per year. Our fundraising goal of $5.5M will allow us to "break even" for the 10-year program. Our ultimate fundraising goal is $10M, so that the Retreat Center may continue to function after the program is complete.

Construction Plans

A portion of the funds raised will go towards the construction of the training facilities and surrounding training fields. The land has been cleared and we're prepared to begin. However, we do not yet have enough funds to fully realize this dream.

Below are the schematic drawings for a proposed future training facility, which is to be located halfway down the mountain by the creek.
