Dr. Yang is Inside Kung-Fu's 2007 Man of the Year

Inside Kung-Fu magazine has just announced that Dr. Yang has been named "Man of the Year 2007." The article will be printed in the February 2008 issue, which hits the newsstands on December 15, 2007. Dr. Yang was also named "Man of the Year" by Inside Kung-Fu magazine in 1990, and "Kung Fu Artist of the Year" by Black Belt magazine in 2003.

In the article, Dr. Yang is described as having been "an industry leader for years" and "one of the 100 people who has made the greatest impact in martial arts in the past 100 years."

Dr. Yang was recently interviewed several times about the Retreat Center project for articles that will appear in local Boston publications. He will also appear in the March issue of Music Design's In Review magazine. Freelance writer Oliver Broudy, a contributing writer for Men's Health & Best Life magazines, has also been conducting a long-term interview with Dr. Yang as part of an in-depth profile slated to appear in a national magazine in 2008. YMAA California Retreat Center Seminars

Dr. Yang will offer Summer Seminars in California, open to the general public, each year. Sign up ASAP, because space is limited for these intensive training sessions. Training in the peaceful forest environment of the Retreat Center allows one to attain a higher level of skill and understanding. Following the past seminar series in Boston, MA, the various levels of Qigong, Taijiquan, Pushing Hands, and Chin Na will continue under the instruction of Dr. Yang.
