Visit to YMAA Chile
14 December 2009
Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming recently returned from a two week long trip to South America.
Accompanied by Retreat Center disciples Chang and Patrick Manriquez, Dr. Yang offered seminars in Taijiquan, Taiji Qigong, and Taiji Pushing Hands.
The three days of seminars were hosted by Daniel Chadud, who is now the new school director of YMAA Chile. YMAA Argentina director Mario Schwarz was also present with a handful of his students.
We hope that this event and similar events in the future will help the two South American YMAA schools continue to grow strong together.
When the seminar weekend concluded, Efraín Gutiérrez, founder of YMAA Chile, stepped down and formally passed down leadership of YMAA Chile to Daniel Chadud. A special thanks to Efraín for all of his hard work and many years with YMAA. We wish him the best and a successful future.
The remainder of the trip was filled with a visit to Pucón, which is located in the South of Chile. In addition to spending a few days enjoying hot springs, sightseeing, and hiking, Dr. Yang and Daniel also began searching for land properties that might be able to serve as a possible YMAA Retreat Center in the southern hemisphere. Daniel has been working hard on this project for a few years already but has hopes to complete it soon. His target time is within the next 3-5 years. Good luck, Daniel!

WOW
I just read about this place in Black Belt Magazine's January 2010 Issue. I am thoroughly awestruck. This is such an amazing program, I can't believe it hasn't been implemented earlier. Enrolling in this program would be such a blessing... It is unfortunate that I cannot dedicate the next ten years of my life to self-improvement such as this. My only hope is that when I am able to, the YMAA will still be accepting new students.
